Garching, 18.10.2022 – Raycap, international manufacturer of electronic components for surge protection, connectivity, and monitoring, will present its portfolio at GET Nord 2022. In hall B5 at booth 524, the company will highlight its surge protection systems for 40 mm busbars, photovoltaics, smart homes, buildings, and e-charging stations.
From November 17 to 19, 2022, the building services industry will meet again in Hamburg for GET Nord, Germany’s only joint trade fair for electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning in the north. Raycap will present its extensive portfolio at the fair in hall B5, booth 254.
Surge Protection for buildings & PV systems
At GET Nord, Raycap will show, among other things, its latest line for the 40 mm busbar: a surge protector that protects the smart meter gateway. A feeder terminal for the main line prevents installation errors and saves assembly time. The products can be simply snapped onto the busbar. With their compact design, the new plug & play components for the 40-millimeter busbar in the pre-metering area can be accommodated in any main distribution board and still meet all the requirements of the new DIN VDE-AR-N 0100-4100.
Raycap will also show the ProTec BLD T2-275, another innovation from its product portfolio for building infrastructure applications. This new surge protector is specifically designed to protect electric blinds and shutters from surge damage. With the help of timers or light sensors, smart blinds open and close independently depending on the time of day or the position of the sun, thus contributing to pleasant natural lighting. Raycap has developed the compact ProTec BLD T2-275 to protect the drive technology in these window coverings from overvoltage damage. The Type 2 surge protection component is easy to install and, with its compact design, can also be easily retrofitted into existing systems.
In addition, Raycap presents its proven protection for KNX bus systems, a solution that is plugged directly into the slot of the KNX bus coupler. If required, the protection element can also be placed in a device box. The RayDat KNX provides reliable surge protection for the smart house infrastructure without much effort.
Visitors can also learn more about Raycap’s protection solutions for PV inverters. The ready-to-connect ProTec PV boxes offer a variety of connection options and a space-saving solution to reliably protect PV systems against lightning and surge damage.
Surge Protection for e-mobility
Since a single surge protection solution cannot cover a complete charging scenario, Raycap, has deployed its expertise in surge protection technology to a comprehensive product portfolio specifically designed for the protection of e-mobility infrastructure. Raycap solutions are purpose built for either AC or DC power protection and can be used in small charging stations in the private and public sector, or for fast charging public EV stations. At GET Nord, Raycap will show its new ProTec T2C-EV solution for this application. With its compact design, this type 2+3 surge protection component is specially designed to fit into small charging stations or wallboxes. The solution is quick and easy to install, and reliably protects both charging stations and connected e-cars from surge damage. In addition, Raycap will show other proven solutions for the protection of all charging infrastructure applications and energy storage systems.
